Cleaning and maintaining a floor is one of the time-consuming and expensive responsibilities that come with having almost any floor. However, this doesn’t have to be the case if you choose polished concrete flooring! These floors are simple and easy to maintain while only requiring a minimal time commitment. All you need to do to keep with your polished concrete maintenance is sweep or dust mop daily, wet mop weekly with pH-neutral floor cleaner, and spot mop as spills happen.

The concrete polishing process starts with your concrete being cleaned and inspected for damage, such as cracks or chipping. Any damage we discover will be repaired before continuing. Next, we’ll start the rough grind. This involves using a floor grinder equipped with a coarse grinding wheel, moving to a finer grit with each pass completing three to four passes. After the coarse grind, we’ll apply an impregnating sealer the permeates the concrete’s surface to protect it from the inside out. This sealer also strengthens and densifies the concrete, making it more durable and resistant. After the sealer is in place, we can finish with the fine polish. We make four to five passes over the floor with the fine polish with increasingly finer grit polishing wheels. Once the last pass is finished, your floor is ready to use!
